Surgery
Our Framlingham surgery has two well equipped theatres and a preparation area for non-sterile procedures. In addition, we have a separate dental theatre,
where dental surgery can be performed.
Our theatres have a large range of surgical equipment enabling us to carry out routine, as well as more complex soft tissue and orthopaedic surgery. For more details of our surgical facilities, click here.
We have separate dog and cat wards to ensure that your pet can recover comfortably from their surgery, with the care of our fully trained nurses.
Check out some of our recent surgical cases - look away if you're squeamish!

Here we fixed a fractured tibia on a cat that had been hit by a car - you can see the x-ray on the Radiograph page.

In this surgery we performed an entropion operation. This poor cat had ingrowing eyelids causing chronic ulceration of the eye and potentially blindness if it had been left.

Guess what this is?!
It's a pop-sock being pulled out of the intestines of a puppy!
Major life saving surgery for this young dog as the intestines would have eventually concertinaed on the sock and ruptured causing a fatal peritonitis.
We are pleased to say the puppy made a full recovery and the owner has kept the laundry out of reach since!

This poor dog had been play-fighting with its companion dog and sustained a huge rip in his side (left picture).
We didn't know if the skin could be saved but looked good after surgery (right picture) and is now fully healed with no loss of skin.

This is a sugar glider who was in for neutering! None of our vets had worked with them before so it was great to get the experience. Needless to say everything went well.
