Consultations
Our consultations are 15 minutes long, to make sure we have plenty of time to discuss all of your concerns about your pet. We encourage you to see the same vet each time you visit us although of course, the choice is yours. We feel the best pet health care comes from building strong, long-term relationships with our clients and their pets.
Nurse Clinics
Our nurses run regular clinics at our Framlingham surgery most of which are complementary. Nurse appointments include:
Removal of sutures
Dressing changes
Nail clipping
Worming and Fleaing your animals
Giving your pets tablets
Post- dental treatment checks
Post operative and wound checks
FREE Weight Clinics
Are you concerned that your pet is overweight? Have you tried to reduce your pets food and feel that you aren't getting anywhere? Getting your pet to lose weight is no mean feat and our nurses are here to help. Book your pet in for a free weight clinic appointment. The nurse will weigh your pet and be able to advise you whether your pet is overweight, underweight or just right!
If your pet is overweight, the nurse will be able to discuss nutrition for your pet and work out the number of calories he or she needs each day. The nurse will be able to advise on feeding and quantities based on a variety of diet options from regular pet food, to more specialist diets. We can also help with advice on encouraging your pet to be more active. You are welcome to bring your pet for a one off appointment, but ideally we would recommend monthly or fortnightly weight clinic appointments to monitor your pets progress and make any adjustments to their diet and exercise plan where necessary.
FREE Dental Health Checks
Does your pet have smelly breath? Have you noticed that your pet has sore gums? These are just some of the signs of dental disease. The pain from sore gums and rotten teeth is chronic (there all the time), so pets tolerate it and it doesn't tend to stop them from eating.
80% of dogs and cats over the age of 3 have some degree of dental disease. It is a hugely common condition which can be prevented by simple home care. Without treatment, dental problems can cause sore mouths, rotten teeth and even spread of infection to other parts of the body.
During a free dental health check, the nurse will examine your pets teeth for signs of dental disease, as well as advising on preventative dental care options.
