Our Framlingham surgery has an imaging room with an x-ray machine, automatic x-ray processor and radiograph viewers.

Radiography is useful in the diagnosis of many conditions including:

  • Fractures and arthritis
  • Heart and lung disease
  • Foreign bodies e.g. needles, stones
  • Tumours

Our x-ray room is lead lined and only trained clinical staff may use it. Mostly your pet would be sedated or anaesthetised for their x-ray unless they were too unwell to cope in which case a concious radiograph would be attempted. The x-ray is processed within about five minutes so enabling rapid diagnosis where a clear cut image is obtained.
